Welcome to Royal Currys, where the vibrant history of India meets the historic charm of Warwick.
We are more than just a restaurant; we are a culinary bridge spanning thousands of miles and millennia of history. Our story is rooted in the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine—a legacy that dates back over 5,000 years to the Indus Valley Civilization. It is a history written not in ink, but in saffron, cardamom, and turmeric; shaped by the royal kitchens of Mughal Emperors and the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, where food was crafted to heal the body and soul.
Specifically, we hail from Kerala, the “Land of Spices.” For over three millennia, this coastal paradise drew Romans, Arabs, and Europeans across treacherous oceans in search of “black gold” (pepper). We have captured that ancient passion—the diverse influences, the complex layering of flavours, and the deep reverence for fresh ingredients—and brought them to Emscote Road. When you dine with us, you are tasting history.
Shakespeare’s Warwick
Shakespeare’s Historic Warwick Walk in the footsteps of the Bard, just 20 minutes from his birthplace. It is believed Shakespeare visited Warwick frequently to study the tombs of the Earls of Warwick at St Mary’s Church, whose lives he dramatised in his history plays. From the “Kingmaker” at Warwick Castle to the medieval architecture he would have known well, the town is a living stage of his greatest inspirations.
